Riveting again!

Hours Worked = 2.5

To start the night, I rounded off the front edges of the flap brackets. The brackets had already been primed, but the part that I worked on will hang below the skin and be primed when the plane is painted.

After the prep work, deburring, scuffing, and priming, I’m back to actual construction on the wings. Tonight I got the flap brackets riveted to the ribs, and the aileron bearing assemblies riveted together and attached to the ribs.

The huge pile of parts is now a slightly smaller huge pile of parts!

Looks like a very high quality airframe. Should last a lifetime. Do they salt taxiways and runways in Minnesota like they do the roads? Is corrosion from salt a concern for airplane owners in Minnesota? I should know the answer to this question as I started my flight training when I was 17 in Ithaca…I just never thought to ask…..
