Hours Worked = 2

With Colleen’s help, I finished riveting on the fuse bottom skin, and completed this section of the plans!

I loved completing this section it felt very “real” when you can see where your passengers will sit and luggage will go. Good work!

Hopefully you rembered to dimple F-1015A Outboard Seat Rib as I mention here…

Also I had a real bitch of a time getting the rivets set correctly through the F-1005C Channel into that aft bulkhead. Did you have any trouble here? I remember getting really frustrated and I probably should have just called it a day and finished it later.

I totally agree! I bet I made Colleen come out to the garage 2 or 3 times just to say “Look, that’s where people are going to sit!”

I didn’t have too many issues getting things together, and I’ve been reading your site along with all the others that have gone before us to catch and “Gotchas” ahead of time… like which parts need to be dimpled early. I won’t be fully confident I got them all until it’s time to rivet on the side skins, but I think I’m on track!

Rivet gun $200, back rivet set $50, Vans fuselage kit $15,000, sitting in your cabin (sort of) imagining airplane noises for the first time $PRICELESS. I look forward to every update,
