FedEx gives you WINGS!

Hours Worked = 2.5

Actually, I had to pick them up as I didn’t want to sit around from 1pm to 5pm waiting for a driver, but you get the idea!

The wings are here! Which brings us to our first problem… how to get 500+ pounds of aluminum and crate out of the back of a pickup.

Archimedes would have been proud. Using an ATV jack as a fulcrum and my lovely assistant Colleen as a counterweight, we were able to balance the spar crate right out.

The other crate was just man-handled out…

Then comes the unboxing:

And two and a half hours later, all the parts are in their place!

I do still have to go thru the small bags of nuts and bolts and such, but that’s a job for another night!

Woo Hoo! Let the building continue! Your building updates have been missed. 🙂

Glad to hear you safely transported the wings in your chariot; I know you were concerned if they would fit. Chalk that one up to an affirmative for when I get to go pick my kit up from Van’s someday; I will be leaving the trailer at home.

You are a BRAVE BRAVE man for talking about the Mrs.being used as a fulcrum!

Happy building! The -9A I was looking at the other day had a LOT of rivets holding it together.
