Since the exhaust sits close to the cowl in a number of areas, I’m going to be installing a metallic heat shield tape to the inside of the cowl. This should help protect the fiberglass, and the paint on the outside of it from discoloring. I also did the final installation of the cowl flaps, and ran the wires for them along the cowl under another layer of heat shield to both hold the wires in place, and protect them from excess heat.
